Kos island is known worldwide as a seasonal, summer destination for its beautiful beaches, consistently warm weather and savory food options. As seen above, the off-season temperature averages are certainly lower than what a tourist would be used to on a seasonal island. However, they remain very livable and comfortable. This lower temperature, combined with higher humidity allows the island’s flora to grow and turns the island into a beautiful green. It also makes for comfortable, enjoyable hiking experiences all throughout the island, as the travel is no longer limited by the exhausting heat of the summer. The views get better, too!

The animals of Kos sure enjoy this increase in green flora in the off-season, too! Increased chances of rain and higher humidity allow wild(and not so wild) life to recover from an exhaustively dry summer.
